Bee Tree Ridge Farm has 32 private acres for hiking, walking and exploring. There are many destinations that you may choose to visit during your session such as the relaxing pond area, the bold creek, the hidden rock formations, the beautiful views from inspiration point, the tree house and the little cabin.
Bee Tree Ridge Farm is a fulfillment of a dream I, Kelly Wiener, had after completing my BA degree in Psychology at Appalachian State University and beginning my graduate work at Antioch University. I wanted to bring together my love of the outdoors and my commitment to the therapeutic process. I know personally how being outside in the mountains can reduce anxiety and depression. There is an amazing calmness that comes from being in nature. Whenever, I have struggled emotionally, I always found solace in the forest. I would like to help others discover this sense of well-being and connection for themselves.
I initially began incorporating nature into my practice by joining a team of therapists at an adolescent outdoor treatment facility. After a move in 2000, I became a therapist with a school based mental health program in Raleigh, NC. I have been a licensed mental health provider for over 20 years. For the last 8 years, in addition to my private practice, I have worked as a school counselor teaching coping skills to young people and the adults who work with them. Providing therapy and educational experiences with adults and students has uniquely equipped me for the adventure of establishing Bee Tree Ridge Farm. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my husband, daughter and our two dogs.
